I found this yellow lady's slipper growing along a creek in a small nature preserve near where I live. The photo was taken on a dark morning after a rain storm had gone through the area. I was able to capture the rain drop on the pouch before it fell to the forest floor.
Jim Zablotny is a natural historian, entomologist, and nature photographer from Fenton, Michigan. His present work emphasizes color, detail, and bold composition of natural subjects.
