Wood warblers are some of the most difficult birds to photograph. Always on the move and often up in the forest's canopy, they rarely venture down for good viewing. Like other Neotropical migrants, wood warbler populations are decreasing due to habitat loss caused by human activity.
Jim Zablotny is a natural historian, entomologist, and nature photographer from Fenton, Michigan. His present work emphasizes color, detail, and bold composition of natural subjects.
