Description
When at rest, the blinded sphinx moth resembles a clump of dead leaves. However, when provoked, the moth will reveal some brightly patterned eye spots which serve to startle a would be predator. This species of moth is fairly common nocturnal species that can be seen in the evening during the warm months of early to late summer.
