Artist's Description

I found this plant growing along the shoreline at the boat landing on Lobdell Lake. The lighting conditions yesterday were not great, but persistence paid off. The light background is the limited light reflected from the surface of the lake.

Jim Zablotny is a natural historian, entomologist, and nature photographer from Fenton, Michigan. His present work emphasizes color, detail, and bold composition of natural subjects.
