Marsh wrens are one of the most vocal marshland inhabitants that you are likely to encounter during a hike along a cattail marsh. This particular bird chose to use a Phragmites stalk as a singing platform.

Jim Zablotny is a natural historian, entomologist, and nature photographer from Fenton, Michigan. His present work emphasizes color, detail, and bold composition of natural subjects.
