I hiked into the Mary Rizor preserve early this morning to take some photos of the ice formations along the feeder creek that runs into Lake Shannon. The water level dropped about 8 inches and the icicles left behind caught my eye. I took 4 images at 35 mm and was able to produce a single high dynamic range image that captured everything in high detail. While taking this image, a very healthy mink leaped out of a tree and waddled into the creek for a swim. It was a good morning to spend time out in the woods.
