For dragonfly photography, I prefer long telephoto lenses which can be used to isolate the subject from the background elements. The background is a woodlot and the freshly emerged calico pennant has vivid colors. The perfect situation for long lens macro-photography.
About Jim Zablotny
Jim Zablotny is a natural historian, entomologist, and nature photographer from Fenton, Michigan. His present work emphasizes color, detail, and bold composition of natural subjects.
