Late Summer is a good time of the year to find halloween pennant dragonflies perched in weedy fields. Males have red and black coloration on the abdomen and feature strong brown banding on the wings.
About Jim Zablotny
Jim Zablotny is a natural historian, entomologist, and nature photographer from Fenton, Michigan. His present work emphasizes color, detail, and bold composition of natural subjects.
