This plant is becoming more rare due to lake shore development and habitat destruction. I photographed this orchid beneath the shade of white cedar trees. The judges in the Greater Lansing Orchid Society Show also awarded this a first place ribbon in the photography class.
About Jim Zablotny
Jim Zablotny is a natural historian, entomologist, and nature photographer from Fenton, Michigan. His present work emphasizes color, detail, and bold composition of natural subjects.
